FOR SALE… 2010 Schenk RD Nashville Flattpicker – $14,500

front view2Brazilian/Adirondack Custom Series – Absolutely Perfect Condition –

Rod Schenk makes some fine guitars (as Vince Gil would agree) and this one is jewel!  He originally tooled up to make dreadnoughts for the Wintergrass 2010 Festival in Bellevue, WA. I bought this guitar hoping to never part with it.  Well… having recently purchased a home in need of restoration, I have prepared to part with it.

Featuring a patented micro-bevel, premium Brazilian rosewood back and sides, a choice piece of Adirondack spruce on the top, this guitar is perfection at every angle!

From top to bottom, this dreadnought is set up for the discriminating flat picker. Comes with an L.R. Baggs Anthem pickup and a Cedar Creek hard-shell case.

What Rod Schenk has to say about this guitar:

“The Wintergrass guitar was an exciting build because it was my first offering to the discriminating Bluegrass world.  I poured everything into this instrument, hand selecting the Adirondack Top and combining it with amazing Brazilian that you just don’t see anymore.  I couldn’t be happier with the results.  It is clearly a top Schenk Guitar and it’s heirloom quality will bring joy to many generations to come. To say this is an extra special instrument is an understatement!”

Audio Examples:

Recorded using a stereo microphone without any reverb, compression or other processing.

I tried to show the guitars tone, power, and sustain – so these examples are somewhat random. While they do capture the essence of the guitar … it sounds even better in person!
